History at Glinn & Giordano:
After earning his graduate degree, Kurt joined Glinn & Giordano as a Staff Physical Therapist in 1985. Through his hard work and dedication Kurt was appointed Clinical Manager of the Southwest office of Glinn & Giordano in 1986. Under his leadership the Southwest office became very successful which eventually lead to a partnership with Jim Glinn and Dan Giordano. In 1997, Kurt was appointed to the role of Vice-President of the corporation and assumed the duties of Managing Partner of Glinn & Giordano Physical Therapy. Kurt’s dynamic work ethic provided Jim Glinn with the confidence to hand over the reigns of the corporation. Jim stated that, “Kurt is as talented as any therapist that I have ever had the pleasure of working with.” Upon the retirement of Dan Giordano in 2004, Kurt moved into the position of President of Glinn & Giordano Physical Therapy. Although Kurt serves as President of the corporation he continues to treat patients at the Downtown office.
Community Service:
First and foremost Kurt is a Bakersfield High School Driller! Kurt has been a volunteer with Bakersfield High School Athletics since 1987 and can routinely be seen on the sidelines at sporting events. He has provided medical assistance for the Kern High School Districts 24-hour relays and worked as a guest speaker at various local career fairs. For over 20 years Kurt has been an integral part of the Kern High School District Coaches Clinics which are organized and provided free of charge by Glinn & Giordano Physical Therapy. Following in his father’s footsteps, Kurt is an active member of Bakersfield Rotary – Downtown Club and has served the Downtown Business Association and Chamber of Commerce. Kurt is very involved in the lives of his three children as an enthusiastic spectator and mentor. At Christmas time you can find Kurt ringing the bell for the Salvation Army and spreading joy to all his patients.
Most Memorable Moment As a Physical or Occupational Therapist:
My most memorable moment was joining Glinn & Giordano Physical Therapy as a Staff Therapist. In 1986 I was appointed Clinical Manager of our new Southwest location which became a very successful operation. The success of the Southwest location lead to future expansion for the company and a partnership with Jim Glinn & Dan Giordano.
Hobbies/Activities:
When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my family, supporting BHS athletics (Go Drillers!), classic cars and attending events in the community.
