It’s once again time to lace up your shoes and break out your mountain bikes for the 2013 Rio Bravo Rumble. If you have been part of this event before then you know you’re in for one heck of a time. For those newbies out there looking to take part for the first time, you’ll soon understand why this event has continued to grow into one of the premier events in Central California.

As always, this event is presented by Glinn & Giordano Physical Therapy with support from Clifford & Brown, Leo Mark Hinds, Thomas Mestmaker, Guinn Construction, Clif Bar and Multi-Business Systems.

 

ONLINE REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED

RACE DAY REGISTRATION WILL BE OPEN 7:30-8:30

REGISTRATION INFORMATION: Pre-registration event packet pick-up will be held on Friday, January 18th from 3-6pm at Glinn & Giordano Physical Therapy located at 2701 Calloway Drive #400, Bakersfield, CA 93312 (major crossroads are Rosedale Hwy and Calloway Drive). Timing chips will be distributed in the race packets. You will be charged a $20 fee if you do not return the timing chip. 

Participants WILL NOT be able to pick up pre-registration packets for other participants.

2013 RBR Registration Form    Must be post marked by January  11th to avoid the late fee!

 

 

ALL PROCEEDS WILL BENEFIT BIKE BAKERSFIELD

 

RACE CATEGORIES:  RACES START AT 9:00AM

Individual Biathlon: 10k run then a 20mi mtn bike (male or female) $55

Team Biathlon: 10k run then a 20mi mtn bike (all male, all female or mixed) $80

Solo Events: 5k run/walk, 10k run, 20 mile mountain bike. $45

1/2 Marathon: 13 mile run on the fireroads of the bike course. Very Challenging!! $55

Kids Race: Starts at approximately 12:00pm. Registration will be on the day of the event. Free

** All races are categorized by age.

** The kids’ race is one of the highlights each year as kids of all ages navigate a short course. Two courses are available: older kids and younger kids with each course varying in length and difficulty.

Click HERE for the running race maps.  The blue course is the 10k run, the red course is the 1/2 marathon.  The 5k uses the second part of the blue 10 k course.

Click HERE for the mtn bike course.  The new 20 mile course uses most of this old 16 mile map.

Race maps will be provided in each racers registration bag.
