It’s once again time to lace up your shoes and break out your mountain bikes for the 2016 Rio Bravo Rumble. If you have been part of this event before then you know you’re in for one heck of a time. For those newbies out there looking to take part for the first time, you’ll soon understand why this event has continued to grow into one of the premier events in Central California.
As always, this event is presented by Glinn & Giordano Physical Therapy with support from Clifford & Brown, Leo Mark Hinds, Guinn Construction, Wonderful Pistachios, Fiji Water, POM Wonderful, Paramount Citrus, the Halos and Multi-Business Systems. And a special thanks to Rio Bravo Ranch and the Nickel Family for allowing us to use their property for this event.

Participants WILL NOT be able to pick up pre-registration packets for other participants without waiver signed by participant.
RACE DAY REGISTRATION FROM 7:30-8:30AM
REGISTRATION INFORMATION: Pre-registration event packet pick-up will be held on Friday, January 15th from 3-6pm at Glinn & Giordano Physical Therapy located at 2701 Calloway Drive #400, Bakersfield, CA 93312 (major crossroads are Rosedale Hwy and Calloway Drive).
Timing chips will be distributed in the race packets.
ALL PROCEEDS WILL BENEFIT BIKE BAKERSFIELD
RACE CATEGORIES: RACES START AT 9:00AM
Individual Biathlon: 10k run then a 15 mi mtn bike (male or female) $50
Team Biathlon: 10k run then a 15 mi mtn bike (all male, all female or mixed) $80
Solo Events: 5k run/walk, 10k run, challenging 15 mi mtn bike $40
1/2 Marathon plus: 15 ish mile run on fire roads. Very Challenging!! $45
Kids Races: Starts at approximately 12:00pm. Registration will be on the day of the event. Free

** All races are categorized by age.
** The kids’ race is one of the highlights each year.
Two courses are available: older kids and younger kids with each course varying in length and difficulty.
Typically ages 3-7 and ages 8-12, but may change based on kids present.
10 k Run is grey map (5 k will be the top half of the grey loop.) Elevation gain 850 ft.
Bike and 1/2 Marathon plus will do the black loop. It is looking to be about 14.5 -15 miles. Elevation gain 2500 ft.
