Most Memorable Professional Moment:
I was able to assist a patient back to ambulating after months of rehabilitation following a traumatic pedestrian versus automobile accident, where the patient sustained multiple fractures of both hips, left lower extremity, left upper extremity and right forearm. Her recovery also coincided with the birth of my first child. The happiest moment was when the patient ambulated out of the hospital on her own. She continued with outpatient rehabilitation for 8 months and regained her independance. It is something I will always remember.
When I am not working I enjoy hiking/back-packing, fishing, opera music and traveling (Italy). In my professional career I enjoy wound care, geriatric rehabiliation and gait training.
